Nesting Gulls

We would like to make patients aware that a number of gulls are currently nesting on the roof (chimney) of the practice.

During the nesting season, gulls can become protective of their young and may occasionally swoop at people who pass nearby. Although this behaviour is usually intended to deter people rather than cause harm, it can be alarming.

The nests and birds are protected by law and cannot be disturbed while they are active.

We kindly ask patients and visitors to:

  • Walk calmly when entering or leaving the practice.
  • Avoid stopping directly beneath the nesting area.
  • Supervise children closely.
  • Do not feed or approach the birds.

If you feel unsafe accessing the building, please contact Reception before your appointment and we will do our best to assist.

We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding while the nesting season comes to an end.
